Sessions can take place at Blackbird Leys Adventure Playground (BLAP) in Oxford, at home, in school, or in other community settings, depending on what best suits the child or young person.
Yes. All tutors are required to hold an Enhanced DBS and Barred List Check before starting work with us, and this is kept up to date through the DBS Update Service. Safeguarding forms a core part of our recruitment and induction process, and our approach is aligned with statutory guidance including Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025 and Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023.
All of our tutors are required to provide certificate evidence of qualifications and training relevant to the role they're recruited for. Where a tutor holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), this is verified directly with the Teaching Regulation Agency.
Payment is taken monthly in advance through our invoicing system.

Schools and local authorities can refer a pupil using our school referral form, which covers both commissioned Alternative Provision placements and general tuition enquiries. Once submitted, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss next steps.

Progress is tracked using the Inspires Outcomes & Impact Framework™, which measures a young person's development across five domains: engagement, regulation and wellbeing, independence and personal development, academic development, and preparation for adulthood. This gives schools and local authorities a fuller picture than academic attainment alone, particularly important for young people whose educational journeys have been disrupted. Placements follow an Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycle, with progress reviews and an end of placement report.
